Centering Black men through literacy, story, and community
Black_BoysRead is a literary and cultural space dedicated to centering Black men as readers, thinkers, and storytellers.
In a world where Black men are too often excluded from conversations about reading and intellectual life, this platform creates space for engagement, reflection, and connection through books and shared experience.
How It Started
Black_BoysRead began as a personal commitment—to read more intentionally, to engage stories more deeply, and to see what might shift when reading became a consistent practice rather than an occasional habit.
Over time, that personal practice became something more. What started as an individual journey evolved into a public space—one where reading is not just about books, but about identity, belonging, and how we make meaning of our lives.
Black_BoysRead is rooted in the belief that when Black men engage with literature, they are not only consuming stories—they are expanding what is possible for themselves and for others.
